Tell us about your professional path or personal successes and achievements.
My professional career began a little less than 10 years ago. Then I was a graduate of a Moscow university with a degree in design, I dreamed of returning to my native north, but I understood that designers were not heard of here in 2012. As soon as there was a chance to get a job at the Kola NPP, I used all the opportunities. I took a pre-graduate and diploma work related to developments for nuclear power plants and endlessly imbued with safety issues. I have been working in the nuclear power industry as a designer for almost 10 years. It turns out that it was possible. I call myself an "atomic designer" and proudly represent both. I actively communicate with other nuclear power plants both on the main activity and on the part of youth policy. I participate in all possible public initiatives – from organizing youth leisure to volunteering. I am developing my own unique cross-divisional project to involve employees in security issues in order to implement it not only in the Concern, but also throughout the industry, as well as beyond.
I always strive to represent my company from the best side, I defend its honor both at sports competitions and at professional skill competitions.
She has been repeatedly awarded a letter of thanks from the Head of the municipality of Polyarnye Zori; a certificate of honor from the Kola NPP; gratitude from the General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC; gratitude for active participation in the activities of the WANO NPP-MC youth movement
04
What is attractive for you to work in the North?
I just dearly love the north in all its manifestations and it is an honor for me to live and work here. I have been to many cities of Russia and foreign countries, I have a lot of experience, so when events are held to collect ideas for improving our city, I always enthusiastically voice my own.
05
What pain points of your city or region as a whole could you highlight?
Poor and difficult to access medicine. I live in a small town, and to get to a more or less intelligent specialist, I need to drive 250 km. This applies even to the delivery of elementary tests.
Roads that are shifted every year, but there is no sense.
Organization of recreational activities. Regarding sports, we have enough of everything. And regarding clubs, meeting points and other places for young people to communicate – not at all.
06
What suggestions could you give regarding the further development of your city or region?
First of all, to provide the city (and the region) with a variety of medical specialists. There are a lot of young families and children in the city. And the pediatrician is alone. Most of the narrowly focused specialists simply do not exist.
Lay bike paths. At least to start with something. We don't have any organized bike trails.
Radically change the approach to lighting the city. We have a polar night and these red, dim lanterns only crush their almost red light. Make the lighting white and bright.
07
Three main reasons to visit the North?
1. Incredible, powerful, incomparable nature
2. People with the warmest hearts
3. The power of the spirit, like nowhere else
08
What kind of parting words would you give to the younger generation living in the northern territories and facing the choice of a future profession?
You can be incredibly useful to your region. Think about what exactly. Perhaps you are the hero that everyone is waiting for.
09
