Such stories can't be found in textbooks. In the year of the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry, regional discussion platforms were created to facilitate intergenerational knowledge transfer by showcasing professional achievements of women specialists and nuclear industry veterans.
The event featured speeches by nuclear industry veterans:
• Nina Aleksandrova
• Tatyana Kudryashova
• Svetlana Sokolova
• Tatyana Klochkova
The discussion was moderated by Olga Shadrina, activist of the women’s community of Sarov.
About 30 young specialists from the nuclear center, students and Rosatom juniors attended the meeting. The veterans shared their career paths in the industry, stories of achievements and contributions to domestic nuclear technology development.
In conclusion, veteran Nina Kreknina recited Mikhail Isakovsky's 1945 poem "To the Russian Woman", with inspiring verses about the greatness of Russian women, their feats and ability to endure any trials.
The event turned out to be truly heartwarming. More meetings are definitely planned. They aim to facilitate intergenerational knowledge transfer from older to younger generations of nuclear industry specialists.
Through live dialogue with veterans who stood at the origins of Russia's nuclear industry, young specialists can gain deeper professional understanding, acquire valuable experience and consciously approach mastering promising industry directions. Showcasing real cases and personal stories of veterans helps increase motivation and readiness for professional development among young specialists.
