In 2018, in Nizhny Novgorod branch of JSC "Grinatom" the initiative group "Green-Young" launched the project "Sort with Us!".
During the implementation of the project great success has been achieved. Since 2020 the participants of the Association of Women of the Nuclear Industry with the Association's Ambassador in Nizhny Novgorod Katerina Kharchenko joined the development as well. At the moment the team of the project "Sort with us" together with the initiative group of the Association of Women of the Nuclear Industry is engaged in the development of the project.

This movement includes not only care for the environment, but also develops the direction of charity. "By joint efforts, within the framework of the implemented project, we try to help children by supporting the project "Kind Lids" (Charity Fund "Refuse")," reports Ekaterina Kharchenko, Ambassador of the Association of Women in Nuclear Industry.
Organizers of the charity fund "Refuseniks" direct the proceeds from the recycling of the caps to special equipment needed by sick children.

In normal life, the caps go to waste, but with the help of our project, these materials "help" to purchase new and necessary for the lives of children.

As part of the project, the participants also collect batteries, which, as many know, have a significant impact on the pollution of the planet. These products take a long time to disintegrate, thus harming the environment. So we take care of the environment by recycling all the materials we collect.

At present there are two containers for collecting lids and batteries on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of Grinatom, also there are containers for collecting batteries directly in the offices of the enterprises.

In January 2020, with the support of the members of the Women's Association of the Nuclear Industry, a container for collecting lids was installed in one of the gymnasiums in Nizhny Novgorod.
Children and parents of this school support this direction with interest and genuine enthusiasm. We will tell you about the results of the campaign in the city's schools in our next posts.
In addition to the containers at the school and branch, there are collection boxes for lids and batteries at the place of residence. Thus goes the involvement of the population to conscious consumption.
"So far, more than 30kg of lids and more than 35kg of batteries have been collected. We consider it as an excellent indicator for the branch, as it shows the interest of employees to participate in environmental protection, as well as promotes teambuilding on a common interest and willingness to make the world a cleaner place. I would like to involve even more people in this topic. Develop the movement on school grounds. After all, with the help of such projects the world is changing for the better!
