On April 25, at the site of the Civic Chamber ended the Educational online marathon “Women for the Promotion of Lean Consciousness Principles”.
The marathon was organized by the Rosatom Women's Community with the support of the Grant Competition “Lean Initiative” and lasted 4 weeks, bringing together 200 participants from 57 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, creating a women's environmental community. More than 600 women across the Russian Federation submitted applications to participate in the marathon.
During the marathon, women shared successful practices they created for their regions, as well as developed public speaking skills, created presentations and formed a women's environmental community in VKontakte.
The participants learned about modern environmental trends, the formation of lean consciousness and ways to implement appropriate practices with the help of unique materials on lean habits and videos of 10 experts-eco-leaders, as well as demonstrated their lean practices by performing tasks of thematic weeks: "Careful attitude to yourself", "Careful attitude to your native land", "Lean volunteering", "Lean production".
Alexandra Ryabykh, co-founder of the Foundation for the Support and Development of Women's Initiatives “Association of Women in the Nuclear Industry”, summarized the results of the marathon:
“We have seen a genuine interest in the topic of thrift among women in Russia, starting from the southern regions and extending to the remote territories of the Far North. This shows that the topic of thrift is an important component of the public agenda and social projects. Having met the participants of the marathon, we can see that ecology and the theme of thrift have a female face today. Active girls have a big mission, and in order to fulfill it, the main thing to remember is that each of us can spread among our communities the thoughts that we contributed to our marathon together.
The female participants created and presented more than 13 environmental projects – from charity stores to eco squads and autonomous non-profit organizations.”
Speakers included representatives of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Rosatom State Corporation, the Eurasian Women's Forum, the Sorabotnichestvo Foundation, the Zapovednoe embassy Foundation, the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization Energy of Development, the federal project “Clean Arctic” and others.
