On June 18, a strategic session "Demographic Development of Sarov" was held in Sarov, bringing together representatives of the city administration, RFNC-VNIIEF, medical institutions, and public organizations. Their representatives discussed possible ways to improve the quality of life of the population of nuclear cities in order to form a sustainable demographic strategy.
Anastasia Ivanova, Ambassador of the “Association of Women in the Nuclear Industry”, Chairman of the Women in the Nuclear Industry Club in Sarov, and Olga Shadrina, Leader of the Community, participated in the event on behalf of the Rosatom Women’s Community. As part of the discussion platforms, participants worked on issues related to the development of the healthcare system and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, as well as leisure activities for families with children and youth.
Evgenia Khodak has put forward an initiative to create a unified information platform for the residents of the city, taking into account the age characteristics and interests of different groups of the population.
Other suggestions from the participants include tools to attract medical specialists to Sarov and create a positive image of the city as a comfortable and promising place to live.
As noted by Anastasia Ivanova, Ambassador of the “Association of Women in the Nuclear Industry” at RFNC-VNIIEF, the format of the meeting allowed not only to discuss topical issues, but also to directly voice proposals to representatives of the administration and the clinic management. This is an important step towards dialogue and joint development.
All the ideas expressed during the session were supported and put into practice. Sarov became the first nuclear city to host such a format of discussions, and similar meetings are already planned in other cities where Rosatom operates.
The focus is put on health, family support, living conditions and self-realization. After all, this is the sustainable future of not only the city, but the entire industry.
