For reference:
The Vienna Energy Forum (Forum) is a biannual global multi—stakeholder forum aimed at exploring development issues in the field of sustainable energy. The Forum is a platform for policy makers and decision makers from various sectors of society to develop practical solutions to sustainability issues.
Since its foundation in 2008, on the joint initiative of the Government of Austria, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the Forum has been gathering politicians and specialists from around the world to discuss practical solutions to sustainable development problems and develop solutions to the organization of cooperation and partnership.
The 2021 Forum is the first Youth Forum organized in partnership with SDG7 Youth Constituency (SDG7 Youth Constituency). The goals and format of the event were determined during an open dialogue with young researchers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and activists in the sustainable energy sector.
The Forum sessions are divided into three main categories: plenary session, networking and skills academy. The Plenary Session section will provide a space for contacts between ministers, experts and youth representatives to discuss issues related to promising skills and creating favorable conditions in the energy space. The network segment will allow interactive informal discussions between experts and participants. Finally, the Skills Academy will become a training place where participants will receive practical recommendations and advice, as well as have the opportunity to learn from the experience of other industry representatives.
