On April 17, 2025, in Minsk, at the venue of the "Healthcare of Belarus - 2025" forum, a round table "Women in Nuclear Medicine of Belarus and Russia: Projects and Cooperation Opportunities" was held. The event was organized by the Country Office of the State Corporation "Rosatom" in the Republic of Belarus and the Rosatom Women's Community.
The main topic of discussion was the role of women in promoting non-energy applications of nuclear technologies, primarily in medicine, as well as in developing educational and social projects aimed at fostering health preservation culture and professional self-determination among students.
The round table addressed:
— prospects for establishing a Center for Nuclear Medicine in Belarus based on the N.N. Alexandrov National Research Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology;
— development of equipment and radiopharmaceutical supplies, including "Brachium" and the innovative "Tianox" device;
— involvement of women experts from medicine and science in joint projects through the Rosatom Women's Community and the Belarusian Women's Union.
Among the speakers were representatives of the State Corporation Rosatom, the Rosatom Country Office in the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Women's Union, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the N.N. Alexandrov National Research Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology, as well as JSC "Rosatom Construction Technologies", the Center for Professional Qualifications Development of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, and the Medscan group of companies.
Cooperation between the Rosatom Women's Community and the Belarusian Women's Union has been strengthening since 2024 and includes:
– international teleconferences and joint meetings,
– on-site events at the Belarusian NPP,
– signing of a Memorandum and Roadmap for cooperation.
Today, the women's dialogue in nuclear medicine is not only an exchange of knowledge and practices but also a foundation for creating sustainable projects that unite the two countries in the goals of health preservation, scientific development, and training a new generation of specialists.
