On May 14–15, a series of discussion platforms were held in the Republic of Uzbekistan, outlining key directions for collaboration between women professionals of Rosatom and UzAtom.
On May 14, as part of the International Energy Forum of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, the session "Key Positions of Women in Energy" took place. Participants discussed issues of equal opportunities, the role of women in the development of the energy sector, and the need to create an inclusive environment.
Speaking at the session, Aleksandra Riabykh, Head of Rosatom Women's Community, noted:
"The Republic of Uzbekistan is one of the leaders in Central Asia in advancing the women's agenda. What unites us is not only history but also a shared understanding: women's participation in technology and innovation is the future. Today, we are reaching a new level of partnership. This is especially important in the context of small NPP construction and the development of joint STEM projects."
The International Energy Forum of Uzbekistan is the region's largest platform on sustainable energy development. The agenda focuses on technology, ecology, workforce potential, and expanding international cooperation.
On May 15, at the UzAtom Agency, as part of the official visit by Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at Rosatom State Corporation, a meeting was held with women specialists of the Agency.
During the meeting, Tatyana Terentyeva and Azim Akhmedkhodzhaev, Director of the UzAtom Agency, signed a Cooperation Roadmap for 2025 in supporting and developing women professionals. The document is a logical continuation of years of fruitful collaboration between women in the nuclear industries of the two countries. It includes initiatives such as joint seminars, mentoring sessions at the MEPhI branch, teleconferences, and other knowledge-sharing events.
Special attention was paid to expanding women's leadership in the nuclear sector. This was also reflected in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Rosatom Women's Community and the Women's Council of the UzAtom Agency, focusing on developing women's leadership and supporting women in STEM fields.
The meeting was attended by faculty of the Tashkent branch of MEPhI and female technical students, as well as leaders of Rosatom and UzAtom women's communities—Aleksandra Riabykh and Rozaliya Kamayeva—who emphasized the importance of continuity, mentorship, and the exchange of best practices between the two countries.
