On April 27, a festive concert dedicated to Victory Day took place in Sarov. The event featured performances by artists from the creative collective "Avangard": Alexander Komarov, Alexander Korolyov, Vladislav Panin, Svetlana Magalinskaya, Larisa Shadrina, and director Irina Yakovleva.
One of the main exhibits of the festive event was the unique photo exhibition "The Atom Project with a Woman's Face_Sarov" by Rosatom Women's Community. The exhibition showcases the female faces of Sarov's nuclear industry and other outstanding women who have shaped the city's inspiring economic and social landscape.
The exhibition was first presented in March at the "Women Changing the World" forum on March 21. The response from Sarov residents, especially the veterans - the heroines of these portraits - inspired the community team to expand the project.
The exhibition has been updated with four new stories of Sarov women who played important roles in the city's formation and development:
• Alexandra Grigorieva - Senior Technician
• Antonina Aksenova - Research Technician
• Tatyana Kovzunovich - Mass Spectrometer Operator
• Tatyana Romanova - Physical Protection Engineer
Olga Shadrina, one of the leaders of the "Women and Cities" project, opened the exhibition on behalf of Rosatom Women's Community. She shared the history of the exhibition and its heroines with the audience:
"This exhibition is not just a story about women of VNIIEF - it's about those who shape Sarov's social identity and develop its scientific and human potential. Today's young female specialists, inspired by the example of older generations, not only work in science and engineering but also lead environmental, patriotic, and social initiatives. I'm proud to present such faces of the nuclear industry and invite all women of the city to join our club. I hope this anniversary year will see more such exhibitions - in every nuclear city of Russia!"
