Rosatom Women’s Community held the first meeting with representatives of Banasthali University in India and Ambassadors of Russian Nuclear Education. During the teleconference, a productive dialog was held on the prospects for international cooperation and support for women in science and technology.
The key topics of discussion were:
• Opportunities for interaction with Banasthali University in STEM education;
• Involvement of foreign students of Russian technical universities – Russian Nuclear Education Ambassadors – in joint initiatives;
• Holding joint events, including the organization of joint mentoring sessions “Women in STEM”.
Representatives of the International Cooperation Committee of the Rosatom Women’s Community took part in the teleconference:
• Daria Savchenko, Counselor at the Department of International Cooperation of Rosatom State Corporation, Head of the Committee;
• Yana Morozova, Head of International Cooperation Division of Rosatom Technical Academy, Member of the Committee;
Among the participants were:
• Manish Ranjan, Lecturer at Banasthali University;
• Soumojit Mukherjee, PhD student of MEPhI, Russian Nuclear Education Ambassador;
• Sohyla Montasser Ahmed Abudeif, graduate student of MIPT, Russian Nuclear Education Ambassador.
During the meeting, Banasthali University expressed interest in participating in the initiatives of the Rosatom Women’s Community, and an agreement was reached to develop joint STEM initiatives to support girls in scientific and technical fields.
