Women of nuclear industries took part in the forum "Women's Health - Welfare of the Nation" which took place on March 4, 2020 in Moscow's World Trade Center. The event was organized by the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum at the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Industry of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
The opening of the event began with a plenary session, which was attended by the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V.I. Matvienko, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade D.V. Manturov, General Director of Rosatom State Corporation A.E. Likhachev, The RF President Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District I.O. Shchegolev, the RF Minister of Science and Higher Education V.N. Falkov, the RF Minister of Healthcare M.A. Murashko, the RF Head of Federal Medicine and Biology Agency V.I. Skvortsova and the Governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug N.V. Komarova.
The Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V.I. Matvienko noted the project "Women in Nuclear Industry: Development Vector" realized in the framework of Eurasian Women Forum at the Council of Federation of the Russian Federation as one of the brightest and most successful projects and thanked the head of Rosatom for support in this direction.
ROSATOM Director General A. Likhachev in his speech at the plenary session of the forum noted the significant contribution of women to the global leadership of Rosatom both at the level of the heads of the corporation and family members of industry workers who provide a comfortable environment for work. Today about 30 percent of executive positions in Rosatom are held by women while in the world energy sector the share of women in the management is 11%. Alexey Yevgenyevich also shared social initiatives aimed at promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among industry employees, such as the Year of Health, industry-wide health days, sports tournaments, etc.
N. Airapetova was the speaker of the session "Modern Woman's Health - Symbiosis of Medicine and Active Way of Life" Mrs. Airapetova told the audience about nuclear medicine as the defense of woman's health. Her speech touched on the prevalence of cancer among women, the evolution of pharmaceutics, radiophobia, and presented the project "Nuclear Pharmacy".
